MajLunden and Majparken at Kyläsaarenkuja 3, 5 and 7 are buildings completed in 2014 with a total of around 200 student apartments. The buildings are attached to each other. The student apartments consist of one and two-room apartments. Most of the apartments have a French balcony made of larch. The Arcada University of Applied Sciences building, completed in 2019, combines student apartments and sports facilities at 6 Kyläsaarenkuja. The student residences and the sports hall were built for Arcada University of Applied Sciences. Legally, the student apartments are owned by Fastighets Ab Majsporten and the sports hall by Fastighets Ab Arcadahallen. The Helsinki Campus of Diakonia UAS is located at Kyläsaarenkuja 2 in Kyläsaar, where you can study social and health care, interpreting and church youth work. The building was completed in 2015. The campus has a total of 1 700 students. The building has a chapel. Diak also rents out its facilities to external parties.
Fif Burger on Hermann's Beach Road 25 was a popular truck stop burger restaurant that closed in 2022. There's a lot of construction going on in the surrounding areas, so there's a lot of fleet moving around these corners. Next door was the St1 auto dealership. Kyläsaarenkatu is a street just under a kilometre long in Kyläsaar. It is lined mainly by low-rise industrial buildings. The street is also home to a recycling centre, petrol stations and a Jetwash car wash. The small industrial area of Kyläsaarenkatu is one of the last areas in Helsinki where you will come across scrap and waste companies.
