Hämeentie 77, completed in 1954, has a light green façade. The house was designed by the architectural firm Lappi-Seppälä and Martas. The house is one of the first to be built after the war. All the original owners of the house were staff of the Helsinki Telephone Association. The courtyard on the courtyard side is spacious and rocky.
On the ground floor there is a laundry, a laundry room and a therapy room. In the past, the building has housed at least Studio Kupu (2022), barber Seppo Turunen and barber Lea Lehtokangas. See photos of the shop's advertisements below.
The house belongs to block 651, which was featured in Helsingin Sanomat on 8 May 1989 in a series of articles by Kaija Hackzell and Kirsti Toppar on city blocks. Books were also published on the basis of this series of articles, and Hermann's quarters can be found in Oihonnankatuulta Kumpulantielle (1991). The article Talot kalliolla is available to HS digital subscribers and can be found in From the HS time machine search ”Hermanni block 651”.
