Agroksenmäki is a park and rocky area between Hermann's Rantatie and Sörnäistenkatu and near Tukkutori. Agroksenmäki is a good vantage point with a good view of the Old Town Bay, for example. See also The Agroksenmäki cellar.
According to Kaija Hackzell and Kirsti Toppar in Oihonnankatu to Kumpulanti - Helsinki's Old Quarters 4, you could once throw a stone into the water from Agroksenmäki because the sea was so close. Hermann's beach is therefore filled land.
The slaughterhouse was served by a power line from the harbour promenade on the Hermann waterfront at Agroksenmäki. At Agroksenmäki there was a deep cliff where the railway ran. The track was built in the 1930s and demolished at the turn of the 1970s and 1980s.
